Your baby at 10 weeks
Your baby is now officially called a fetus and is about the size of a strawberry. Working joints are forming at the elbows and knees, and tiny nails are beginning to develop on fingers and toes. Vital organs are fully formed and starting to do their jobs as growth shifts into high gear.
Your body this week
You may still feel nauseated and tired, though some people notice symptoms beginning to ease over the coming weeks. Visible veins on your breasts and belly are common as blood flow increases. Mild round ligament twinges can appear as your uterus expands.
Tips for week 10
Continue your prenatal vitamins and aim for a balanced diet with plenty of fluids and fiber to help with digestion. Comfortable clothing can ease bloating discomfort. If you are considering early genetic screening, this is a good time to discuss the options with your provider.
