Your baby at 11 weeks
At 11 weeks your baby is about the size of a fig and is busy kicking and stretching, even though you cannot feel it yet. Bones are beginning to harden, and the head still makes up about half of the body length. Tooth buds, hair follicles, and nail beds are all forming this week.
Your body this week
Some people find nausea starting to lift while others still feel it strongly, and both are normal at this stage. You may notice more energy returning soon, along with continued breast changes and a slightly thickening waist. Increased vaginal discharge is common and usually nothing to worry about.
Tips for week 11
Keep nourishing yourself with regular meals and stay active with gentle exercise that feels good. As you near the end of the first trimester, you may want to start thinking about when and how to share your news. Bring any questions about upcoming first trimester screenings to your next visit.
