Your baby at 15 weeks

Your baby is about the size of a navel orange this week and is busy forming taste buds. The eyes are still fused shut but can now sense light filtering through the closed lids, and the bones are continuing to harden. Baby is moving plenty, even though you likely cannot feel it yet.

Your body this week

You may notice a heightened sense of smell and a healthy appetite as you settle into the second trimester. Some people experience nasal congestion, occasional nosebleeds, or sensitive gums due to increased blood flow. A little forgetfulness or pregnancy brain is also a common and temporary companion.

Tips for week 15

Keeping a water bottle nearby and eating fiber rich foods can help with the constipation that sometimes comes with pregnancy. Gentle dental care matters now, so keep brushing and flossing and mention any gum tenderness to your dentist. Consider booking your anatomy scan if it has not been scheduled, as it usually happens in the coming weeks.
