Your baby at 25 weeks

Your baby is filling out with more baby fat, giving their skin a smoother, less wrinkled look. Hair is growing and may even be developing some color and texture. The lungs continue maturing as blood vessels develop, and your little one is responding more to familiar sounds and voices.

Your body this week

You may notice more frequent trips to the bathroom as your uterus presses on your bladder. Common symptoms include constipation, hemorrhoids, mild swelling, and trouble sleeping comfortably. Some women experience tingling or numbness in the hands, known as carpal tunnel, from fluid retention.

Tips for week 25

Eat plenty of fiber and drink water to ease constipation, and move regularly to support circulation. Try sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees for added comfort. If hand tingling bothers you, gentle wrist stretches and avoiding sleeping on your hands can help, and mention it at your next visit.
