Your baby at 35 weeks
Your baby is filling out and rounding into newborn proportions as they keep gaining weight. Most of their major organs are well developed and nearly ready for the outside world, with the lungs being among the last to finish maturing. Things are getting cozy in there, so movements may feel more like rolls, stretches, and pokes than big kicks.
Your body this week
You may feel more pressure in your lower abdomen and pelvis, and trips to the bathroom may become even more frequent. Trouble sleeping, swelling, and general fatigue are common in these final weeks. You might also experience nesting energy, a strong urge to get your home ready for the baby.
Tips for week 35
Listen to your body and balance bursts of nesting energy with plenty of rest. Make sure your hospital bag is ready and your car seat is installed and checked. Keep tracking your baby's movements, and do not hesitate to call your provider with any questions or concerns as your due date draws closer.
