Research Journal Publishing: Fetal Intubation in Management of Nearly Fatal Shoulder Dystocia

We are thrilled to share that Garden OB/GYN Physician Boris Petrikovsky, MD, PhD, has been published in the Winter 2018 Neonatal Intensive Care Journal for his case report on fetal intubation in management of a nearly fatal shoulder dystocia (sixty seconds or more delay between delivery of the baby’s head and shoulders during childbirth). His case study suggests fetal head intubation can be considered as a method to temporarily maintain fetal oxygenation, allowing more time to resolve shoulder dystocia.
