Today is World Blood Donor Day! Every year on June 14, the World Health Organization celebrates and recognizes blood donors around the world. Without their unpaid, generous blood donations, millions of lives would not be able to be saved.
Blood transfusions and blood products play a major role in women’s medical care. Particularly, these blood donations help save maternal, fetal and children’s lives in emergency medical situations and natural disasters around the world.
